Make The Most Of A Scorcher Weekend!

British summers are notoriously unpredictable but those who have been waiting for sunny weather to arrive, so they can enjoy balm evenings in their garden will be breathing a sigh of relief, as hot temperatures are on their way.

According to the Met Office, this week will mark the ‘first hot spell’ of the year, as experts predict the mercury will hit 33C in some areas of the country.

Forecaster Alex Deakin was reported by the Mirror as saying: “The first hot spell of weather of the year for some parts of the country and temperatures generally building across the UK as high pressure will dominate.”

He added: “As this high starts to amble its way to the east, we tap into a plume of even hotter air from the south, and that will see the temperatures peaking across the country on Friday (June 17th).”

It is thought this will be the hottest day of the week, even reaching low-30Cs in the south, with the weather cooling down slightly over the weekend.

Therefore, the next few days are the ideal time to enjoy being in the garden and socialise outdoors with friends and family.

Whether you have a barbecue, invite loved ones around for a garden party, or simply catch up over a few glasses of wine, it is a good idea to make the most of the sunny weather before it turns cooler again.

Don’t forget your vintage outdoor lights, so you can carry on chatting well into the night.
